Irish WhistlesWe stock the Irish Whistles made by Soodlum in 'C' and 'D', noted for their more mellow tone, and the British made Generation line which comes in six keys. All have plastic mouthpieces, on either lacquered brass or nickel plated bodies. Soodlum uses a green mouthpiece on all bodies, while Generation uses blue on the nickel and red on the brass.

Some say the plain brass is more mellow. One thing is for sure, the nickel stays shiny "forever" while the brass eventually tarnishes making it either unsightly or grandly weathered, depending on the beholder.

These are easily played six hole whistles using overblowing for second and third octaves. We also stock Shaw and Clark true rolled tin Irish whistles with a wooden aperture plug for the mouthpiece. We can special order the Overton and Howard concert pitched low octave whistles.
